I would say it's fairly ironic that I'm writing this post on Saturday... four days after I posted about my top ten excuses. I originally wanted to get this up the next day, but you know, I used a few excuses and am just now getting to it. :-) As a recap, here's my top ten.
10. I'm tired, beat, spent.
9. I'll get to it later.
8. I don't feel like it.
7. I don't have time right now.
6. I don't have the resources.
5. I'm not good enough.
4. I forgot.
3. I'm just not sure.
2. There's not as many students coming as I would like.
1. I'm frustrated.
After looking through my ten excuses, I really only want to talk about numbers 6, 5, 3, 2, and 1. So here we go.
Number 6 - "I don't have the resources." Here's the deal. I could dwell on what I don't have. Or, I could be creative with what I do have. The easy route is to whine and complain. But that's not the route God has called me (us) to.
God, Himself, created something out of nothing. And here's the cool thing, since He's already done some creating, that means I've already got resources that I can use. I just have to recognize what God has already blessed me with. My job isn't to whine and complain that I don't have as much as the next guy down the street. My job is to identify what I do have and use it.
Because here's the deal, I won't necessarily receive more, until I'm faithful with what I have.
That's the bottom line -
Stop whining
Start identifying
Use what I've got.
